You must go to Charlton Sewing Center, it's just down the road from you. It's a very nice store, and if the owner (Cathy) is there, she will play the organ for you. The store is in an old church.
I've been there On a day trip. Very nice. About an hour from Boston.
I have looked it up a few times but never been there; its on my list :P[/quote

been there often, it is beautiful!

sewslow.... I've only been here in Adelanto for 2 yrs. December of '08 we had a huge snow storm, the locals said it was the most snow in 20 yrs.

Was that when you were on your way to Palm Springs?

We had a couple of hours of snow Dec '09 but it was melted by evening. Tho the pass would get more snow than we do.

Now at 3:15pm it is 99 but feels hotter than that, gratefully supposed to cool down abit the rest of the week.

I'm here  and I can see Gal's here (she's in my general part of the world) but where is everyone else from down under?

By the way, the "location" is one of the first things I read.

    So do I, DeeCee.
We are barely 10 members in my part of the world.. ;-)
South America ! The country to be revealed after Secret Quilt Angel.

I love seeing how many are from Washington, most seem to be over around Seattle/coastal area. I have yet to meet someone from WA.

We think it was 1997. It was memorable because by the time we got to Adelanto, we thought we were in sunny So. Cal.

Sewslow ... Oh back then we were living in Rancho Cucamonga.

Adelanto, being the 'high desert' does get colder winters than down the pass, therefore the snow. Once down the pass, snow is a rarity. Also the high desert does get hotter than down the hill, except for maybe Palm Springs.

    nice chatting with you

I am from the Black Diamond/Covington area. I have seen people from Federal Way, Ferndale and a couple of other towns in Western WA.
