Default Long Shot - Orphan Block Strip Quilt

I know this is a long shot but...
I know I have seen a picture of a quilt incorporating strips and orphan blocks. The maker described the process as sewing up the strip sets to the size needed to match the block then the strip sets were sewn together to make a quilt similar to a Gypsy Wife. A much simpler process than that for a Gypsy Wife.
Would anyone be able to locate this blog or picture? I've googled "orphan block strip quilt" to no avail. Thanks for the help.

Whatever your biggest block is is the size you are aiming for. Add side bars to the other orphans and get them to Mr. Big's size then off you go.

I don't think there is a "name" for it, just lots of different size blocks put together. some block of the months do that. look for pics of those, it might help.

Try just “orphan block quilt” image search on yahoo.com. I found lots of orphan block quilts. If you need help finding the patterns for the image, look for small words on the right or bottom of the image of your quilt in your head and click on the little words. A little more initial work than “googling” but I have better luck with it. Good Luck.

Thanks, Gay. I think this is a great option for using up orphan or odd blocks.
