    Look what I found today!

I was on my way home from town and saw a garage sale sign. I had a bit of time, so I checked it out. Turns out the gal was a quilter and was getting rid of a few pieces of fabric..... I bought a bit over 20 yds for $25!!! She either liked purple or didn't like purple..a lot of purple...butterfly fabric, fish fabric, a yard of red and a blue and white print. Here are some pictures. The last two were "pieces". Looked like the leftovers from quilt backings, but plenty of it. Nothing under a yard! I'm still doing the "happy dance"!

Nice Haul!!! I'm always amused when I see that someone stopped at a garage sale in March! No such thing as a March garage sale here in Indiana!!

Wow, here it won't be garage sale season for a few month. And I haven't ever lucked out like you did-guess I will keep looking once the season starts. Congratulations on your great finds.

What a great find!!! I know that makes you feel so good to come upon a deal like that. One day I was in a Goodwill Store and a clerk was taking fabric out of a cart and putting it on a shelf to sell. It was some of WalMart's better fabric, and it wasn't old. Much of it they still carried. It was bright and colorful and especially good for children. I couldn't believe they were selling it for so little! I ended up buying much of that fabric and have used it to make all kinds of things for my grandchildren--quilts, pajamas, pillow cases. With today's fabric prices, you got a steal of a deal! Enjoy!

DH & I drove over 30 miles yesterday for yard sale, and guess what? The same thing that always happens to me. No
material or sewing items there. I`ve even handed out my name phone # at yard sales to any one who knew a sewer.
No luck at all! On Average how many sales do you have to go to get lucky for anything sewing?

There won't be any garage sales in my neck of the woods for quite sometime. You made a really nice score...those butterfly fabrics are just beautiful.

Congrats, Sylvia! Wonderful deal. We got a foot of snow here this week, and freezing rain coming down now. No yards sales for months ahead for us!

Don't you just love a great find? The last deal that I got was about 50 yards of fabric and a couple other things for 70 bucks.... There has been 3 other estate sales since then and I have forced myself to stay home.... I do NOT need any more fabric! I really don't need another machine either, but this addiction that we have is really hard to pass a great bargain up.... Of course we get lots of other things too while out shopping....

I wasn't even looking for fabric. I need a narrow table or desk to put the embroidery machine on that I'm getting ready to buy. But, of course, my eyes saw the fabric and I zeroed in on it. I live on the OK/TX border and the weather has been great down here. It was in the low 80's yesterday, but only supposed to reach 60 today, so garage sale weather will get going pretty soon!
