What a lucky day for you. I don't know the name of the block, but it is gorgeous and beautifully hand sewn. If you belong to a guild, take the quilts and ask their opinion. A LAQ might be able to tell you if she thinks they can be machine quilted and/or she might also be able to tell you if she knows someone who would hand quilt them, especially that gorgeous red & white quilt. When I lived in NH and belonged to a local quilt guild there, one of the women there actually sent her quilts to the Amish, who hand quilted her quilts for a reasonable fee. It might be worth checking it out.

Wow!!!!! They're beautiful, so glad that they have found a good home. If you can afford to find someone to hand quilt them, then that's what I would do. On the other hand, maybe you could learn to hand quilt and do them yourself.

Oh how beautiful. Your LAQ will give you specifics on how to prepare them for quiolting but I don't see that there should be a problem with getting them done!! Lucky you!!!!
