Looking for assistance - Vintage
#1
Hi - I was was wondering if anyone could help me identify the pattern -see picture.
I purchased these vintage pieces at a yard sale last week and at first I thought the pieces were to be a dresden plate style pattern, because three of these would make a circle. But as I sorted through the pieces, I found one that had be put together - two of the arches with a square piece on each end.
Does anyone have a clue as to what the ladys was going to make ? From what I understand she has passed and the person from the sale said she thought maybe Grandma's Garden - which is nothing like what these pieces are.
I'm excited about my find and want to do it justice as I continue to complete what the lady once started.
Also, does anyone know where I could pick up some vintage prints ? as I will need some to make the squares.
Thanks for all your help-
As I look at the pattern for a Double Wedding Ring - I am noticing that their are three (3) different shapes that make up the ring. On my pieces all of them are the same shape and there are seven (7) of them. I am thinking that the lady had good intentioins but I don't think the pieces are going to go together correctly, even by adding the elongated squares at the end. I will have to work on creating a piece that will make them come together correctly. I'm sure there was no pattern used when the lady was creating these. Thanks again.

Looks like the arcs for a Double Wedding Ring quilt - you're just missing the squares at the end (that's why they don't go together smoothly with each other):

See the yellow and green squares.
