I'm working on a project that is a collection of Drunkard's Path variations. I did paper layouts of the blocks I found, photographed them, and have used them in Excel to play with the quilt design (see avatar). That's why the pics looks a bit odd, they are paper. Anyway, does anyone know what any of these variations are called? There are more, but three is enough for now. Thanks for any help.

Found this one - it's called Reflections of Love

Thanks, Ruth. She has C as a Love Ring variation, but gives it no name of it's own. I may have to get a copy of Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns on inter-library loan and see what she has. I've been through almost 20 pages of google results for 'drunkard's path variatoions' and am feeling a bit tipsy myself!

No, Lisa. It's hard to web search something you do not know the name of and cannot show a picture to. I suspect I'll have to do a hardcover search at a large library, or contact Gerald Roy who lives nearby. Hmmm...wonder if he'd charge a "neighbor"???

That one's a keeper, Ruth. Thanks! I have different names for two of those and two are completely new to me, so that's great! Plus some new names to search out. Thanks again. I didn't think to use another search engine...dumb! Maybe Dogpile after all that's going on around here these days!!

Picture C is called Illinois Rose. I recognized it with the little slip of paper that came with my templates.

It's from the book "Happy Trail" by Pepper Cory. Later the same book was printed as "65 Drunkard's Path Quilt Designs" I used to have the book but went through a phase when I stopped quilting and sold it at a rummage sale for 50 cents  Gasp! I could kick myself now.

I know you would be able to find the names of the other blocks in that book. It was a great resource!
