This is my favorite. I am working on cutting pieces for this right now. I am going to personalize it with a kitten, photos of grandchildren in silver frames, etc. It is in Australian Patchwork & Quilting, Vol 17 Num 8, pg 54. The size is 43 1/2" x 74 3/4" but could easily be enlarged or reduced.

This is awesome! I want to one for my daughter and I am so excited! What is on the left side of the bookcase? And, is this a picture of a picture? I would love to follow your progress!

I bought a paperback quilt pattern that I haven't seen since I moved. Lots of ideas on Google:

I see this type of quilt pattern all over Facebook lately. Bookcase quilts must be popular now.

From Moda: http://www.modabakeshop.com/2013/03/...-me-quilt.html. Also, http://hp-paperpiecing.livejournal.com/118421.html, this is a nice Harry Potter quilt

Someone made one on here using selvedges for book titles which was very impressive. I have also seen books with titles in embroidery. Harrypotter has a bookcase quilt as well with ornaments.

there's also Craftsy's free paper-piecing pattern called 'the Project of Doom', which, although it has a Harry Potter theme, you could cherry-pick the book sections to personalise it to yourself.
cheers, K

Edited to add: Dottymo must have been typing at the same time as me lol

There's one on the website of mystery author Kate Carlisle, and it's a free pattern. Go to www.katecarlisle.com and click on the Secret Room.
