Looking for ideas: What can I do with these pieces of fabric?

Anyways, I love the dolls. I think they'd look real nice with red sashing around each one, stitch together, and then a border of smaller log cabin blocks and, if it's easier, put the red as cornerstones. Good luck. Have fun. Show a picture when you are done.

I don't know the sizes of the blocks, but it sort of looks like redwork (hand embroidery). How about just sewing strips creating this design from simple blcoks. This will test your 1/4" seam allowance to be correct:

Hello from Iowa, USA. The little red work dolls are so charming. If I had seen them in a fabric shop, they would be in my stash too. Maybe snowball the corners with a vintage red print and add sashing's to the outer edges. Be sure to show us the finished product!!
