    My son loves his queen size, rust and blues Log cabin. 2" strips no borders.

    I made my husband one in blues greens and reds. He picked the pattern and colors. I also made one son a Hawaii one and another son one with trains.

    I agree log cabin is a good choice, i did one for my husband, and to personalize it i put 2 pigs in the middle cause he likes pigs

    I don't thinks the pattern is as important as the fabric. I let my DH pick out the red, black and white and then made a simple quick rail fence. He loved it!
