Cool Looking for Monster patterns for a baby quilt

Our newest grandbaby is due in Oct and my daughter wants to do his room in monsters - nice ones tho, not scary. I've been googling and looking all day but haven't found much to use. I'm wanting to do an applique quilt -- a monster appliqued in the center of each block. I've tried googling coloring book pages, applique patterns, etc.

Has anyone made a monster quilt or found a good site with patterns? I'd love to hear about it. Or if you have a pattern and are finished with it, maybe we could make a trade? I've been trying to draw some monsters and that isn't going too well either. An artist I'm not. LOL.

Would love to hear some new ideas on this. Thanks a bunch.

Did you try Google? There are some that come up. This one is cute. You could also get a coloring book and use that for applique.

On Quiltshops.com a search for "monsters" comes up with 10 pages of links. Also, Bug Fabrics has some cute monster fabric. Here's a link:

I think it's McCalls that has a pattern in their book. I just saw it the other day at JoAnn's. The monsters are cute and even 3D. They don't like to stay in their assigned blocks.hehe It's really cute and done with bright colors.

There's a BOM of monsters. The pattern is a bit pricey but it would give you some ideas to draw your own.

Joann's has a flannel with cute monsters on it.

My favorite place to go is www.ericas.com/ Click on applique, go to children's and scroll down. Don't stop at the first monster quilt pattern, there are several. Scroll to the end. They are very nice and you get your selection very quickly.

I've done one and am getting ready to do another in a different color. I wish I could show you a picture but every time I try to attach a picture, the upload fails! Good luck!

What do you think of Amy Bradley's 'Planetary Party' patterns? I have 5 of them and here is the link to the whole pattern http://www.amybradleydesigns.com/abd203.html

If interested I have the bottom 3 in the middle, top right and lower left. Would be willing to trade..... drop me a PM

Thanks for all the ideas, suggestions, sites, etc. I'm going to show them to my dd and get some input from her. I think this will be a fun quilt to make.
