ghostrider is on the right track. most prints you will find are kinda 'cheesy' or very southwest in nature. I would suggest going with a style that reflects his heritage, like the Cherokee Star or Seminole or Woodland florals. if you are putting your heart in it,and no doubt you are, whatever route you choose will be beautiful...

I'm not sure how to paste links here, but I'll try. This is a quilt shope I've been to in Albuquerque, NM and it has the largest collection of Native American fabrics and patterns I have ever seen under one roof.
