Have to agree. I think it was just laid out and pieced either as she went along or after it was all laid out. Beautiful use of scraps. Might look in some of the scrappy books and magazines for something similar. Probably easier to take the picture and do your own from that.

I wasn't able to click on "Block of the Month Sampler (16)" It is a lovely quilt, though.

Okay, found that when you tried to access translation for each step, the wheels fell off the wagon. You could just get out the graph paper and start drawing, but I think it would be easier to actually identify each individual block (looks like there are 10 different ones) and Step 11 gives the placement in a diagram. It sure is beautiful but colour is what absolutely makes this quilt. Hmmmm....wonder if my 91 year old mother could translate it for me....

I am not a big fan of most scrappy quilts, but this one is very pretty!

If you want to get to the actual site, in order to learn about the block of the month,(the German one) you need to sign in as a member first. It did say that it was free. I did not try to sign up though. All the other information about the block is only telling you what the block can be used for. If you really want to know more about the block let me know and I will try becoming a member.

Looks like a sampler quilt made from different sized blocks. Don't think you will find a pattern for it. Think it will have to be created using EQ7 or something like that.

Yes it is in German, however it can be transaulated. Check in the upper right hand corner for the button to start, if not keep looking. It is a BOM.
