Does anyone know the name of this pattern? Would like to make one.

There is a pattern, Star and Hourglass, in Pat Speth's book, The Big Book of Nickel Quilts. It is not the same pattern, but it is very close to Star and Crown.

I see some graph paper in your future - I also see a square, a 4 patch and some half-square triangles!!

It is nothing more than squares and half square triangles. Just determine the size you want the squares and then make
the half square triangles to match. Look at the picture you have to put it together. Simple, simple ! ! ! Good Luck ! !

You're right Vat - DON'T BUY A PATTERN. Just look at it - it's only full squares and HST!!!! Print a copy of the picture. Draw a grid on one block and there you go.
