Looking for a scrappy quilt picture that I saw yesterday....
I saw it but before I could bookmark the thread my internet went away. It was a 6 1/2" square in a block with borders between each block that had blue stars as the cornerstones. I think someone posted the pic to answer a question that was asked about having a consistent fabric in a scrappy quilt. If you could help me I would so appreciate it. thanks.

This train ride made that quilt except used 9 patch blocks instead of one 6" block in the center. Check it out. There are directions somewhere in there about how to do the sashing.

Quite an easy quilt to make. Take a fair amount of practice pieces to make sample type sashing pieces. Get those points even!
Now decide how big you want the large blocks to be. Try the various batiks or go with one solid interesting fabric for the large center blocks. Now decide varied sashing... or go for a high contrast set of colors for the sashing. All these will give you completely different looks. Go light on dark or dark on light. Or light tones on dark tones...
This is why I love quilting.
