Bonnie hunter uses a small iron that she puts no water in .. she says the quickest way to ruin an iron is to add water. If you must have steam its best to spray your fabric with water.

I just bought one at Target For $9.99. It's heavier than the compact iron that I had before that never got hot enough to use. My new one has steam, doesn't leak and gets nice and hot. It's made by Sunbeam and called Hot2Trot compact iron.

I found one (can't remember the brand right now) at the thrift store for 2.99.

I have this one also and really like it. Great to take to classes.
