I recently attended a quilt class and saw one lady with a very small iron that even had a spout for water/steam. She said she bought it in Paducah, but couldn't remember where. Has anyone seen them online??? Would appreciate any information. (It was almost the size of a toy iron....but it could be bigger.) I just need something small. I have the little clover one, but don't like it.....doesn't get hot enough....and I usually get burned.

IIRC, the Rowenta travel iron's only about $40 and it's available at Jo-Ann's.

I've had a Black & Decker travel iron for probably 10 years. It gets nice and hot, steams and the handle folds down. I googled it and it looks like they have changed the style. You may want to google it and check on reviews of that iron. Good luck.

thanks, everyone, and kjdavis....you just jogged my memory. I bought a small travel iron...just as you described back in the 80's..used it only a couple of times and it has been stored away since!!! Forgotten all about it....got it down from storage, and IT IS PERFECT!!! And, I saved some money, too....for more fabric and/or scissors...second weakness.

I have a Rowenta Travel Iron. I LOVE LOVE IT!!! It is the best that I have found anywhere. Good Luck to you.

I have the rowenta also. Just recently bought it off ebay, remanufactured. Works great, the only problem is it stays so darn hot after unplugging it it's hard to pack away. The other thing is there is no on/off switch you have to unplug it but I am guessing that might be a safety feature. I am not sure.

I picked up a little travel iron from the thrift store. black and decker, fold down handle (could be the one described above), and it works flawless. Love it.

Mother in law signed us up for a class so it will definitely come in handy.
