Default Looking for Star Quilt Block pattern

Please help me find a free pattern for a 12 inch block that has an 8 point star where the
points do NOT end up close to the 1/4 inch edge. In other words, the points are about one inch
from the edge.
Hoping someone can point me to this pattern.

I found this Wonky Star tutorial that you could use. To make the star points even rather than wonky, you would need to position them in the same spot on each square.

I've used Jan's version many, many times. Sometimes you just don't want to fool with those star points not coming out perfect!!! This version is "no fail", I hope you give it a try.

I TOTALLY agree. It is just so fun to create quilts that come alive on the computer. GREAT job Jan!
