http://www.quiltbus.com/clover.htm

Clover makes a really slim glass headed straight pin. The link will take you to a site that shws a picture of them - it's the first item.

I've bought what I think are what you're looking for from Clotilde. They have an on-line catalog. Just search for glass head pins and I believe you'll find them there.

Dritz makes a crystalized glass head 1 7/8 inch straight pins, The heads come in different colors. I got mine off of Amazon, they were a little cheaper than buying them in a store.

These are the ones I have been using for 35 years. I get mine at JoAnns with a 50 percent off coupon as they are not cheap. I still have some of the first ones I purchased way back when and have just keep adding to them over the years. Mine have white glass heads.

Joann's has some in the quilting notions area. I bought some not long ago and they do work great.

I have the same ones and love them,
too. I always get them at Joann's right there in the quilting notions section. 8-)

I had to buy a certain kind when I took a quilting class at a LQS. I can't remember the brand, but they are very sharp and have a small glass head. Check your LQS.
