Me three, is there any any any way that (I hate to sound pessimistic) maybe "Elvis never left the building" via UPS but to an employee's home instead? With something like this, I wonder if the newsletter can have the police search employees' homes or something. I know it sounds extreme, but look at the nature of what is missing, this is a one of kind beautiful piece of art. It just sounds kinda fishy, especially because it has already won awards, and would have continued to win.

Care to "name drop" the name of the shipper? Maybe we could apply a little pressure there for you?

Can we have some more information. Size of the quilt, did you insure it (I know, stupid question), is there a label and what does it say (just in case we see it somewhere) is there any higher up you can go to except your local UPS store? Have you put it on the lost quilts website? I think the idea of contacting your local news station is a good idea and also the local station to where it was headed. Maybe someone there might have seen it. I hope you get it back. I would be so devastated.

Thanks for all your good wishes.

I didn't ship it myself, it was being returned to me. The quilt is labeled with my name, address and phone, and it's been on the LostQuilt.com website for about 3 weeks. The package was insured, and we've been in contact with UPS Corporate about the situation - they've been searching. There is still one more action in process right now, but that's something the shipper is working on. I will have to be patient for a few more days, hard as it is.

The idea of your beautiful quilt being stolen is just plain sickening!
I hope it turns up.
If it were me, I'd be tempted to buy full page ad space in popular magazines. Not just quilting magazines, but everyday magazines, like Woman's Day, etc.
