    The xl series is 5mm machine so just keep in mind if you get a7mm machine you can't use a stitch width larger than 5mm with a 5mm foot so not all your feet will be interchanchable for the 7mm width. I love my sq9050 from Walmart it is a 7 mm machine.

    Thank you all for your advice. I think I just need to do the drive to nearest Brother dealer and talk to them.

    I have two machines by brother. The less expensive and back up machine is the brother cs6000i and my daily work horse is the innov-is NX2000. I like both of them but prefer the innov-is
