Having trouble machine quilting a sampler quilt. Fabric is puckering on the top an bottom. I think it is because they are all a different size and can't just go in a straight line. What can I do. Getting frustrated.

Maybe you have not basted. If you are doing straight line quilting try using a walking foot with your feed dogs UP. If you are doing free motion quilting, feed dogs DOWN with a hopping or darning foot. You can PM me if you want, I will try to help the best I can.

Try spray starching both the top and the bottom. Starch stabilizes fabric so it is less likely to stretch and pucker. I normally starch my backing heavily before creating the quilt sandwich but in a situation like this, where the quilt sandwich has already been created, I would mist both sides with several layers of spray starch.
