Made a big mistake - what to do?

Yep , I've done that sort of thing. But others are right - if the blocks are all that way, the look will be consistent and will look like that's how you designed it. Next time, like my dad ( and others, I know) used to say "measure twice and cut once"!

I think we've all done something like that at one time or another - like the time I cut strips for a Sister's Choice, only to find out that I had cut them 1" too small. Guess I was not paying attention, however, when I cut the strips correctly, I ran out of that white fabric, so picked out another one - a planned "artistic choice". LOL. I would continue on, your granddaughter will love it because you made it for her.

when the QP come to my place and tell what is wrong I say "show me the law that says I have to do it the way you say it should be done." no answer and the subject is dropped. got to see the law then I'll mend my ways.

I personally would say that it is meant to be and move on. If you need it bigger, add a bigger border when you have finished assembling the blocks. Nobody but you will notice or care to be honest with you. I'm sure she will love it if the tips were there or not
