    Thanks to all of you for your advice. You are all awesome to help no matter what is asked. I do appreciate all the advice. I think I am going to try it and like one of the members said, that is how you learn. But I really do appreciate all of you.

    I agree with crafty. If you follow the instructions your quilt will end up longer but the same width as pattern. The pattern will be more elongated in appearance and depending on pattern may not be as pleasing in appearance.
