Hi I'm new to this board my name is Cheryl and I have a question I hope someone can help me with. Is there a way to make easter eggs out of the hexigon english paper piecing I have seen it done to make balls but I would like to make some eggs. Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)

Hello Cheryl. I don't think it can be done with hexagons, but possibly with irregular ellipses. A sphere is made with 12 regular ellipses. For an ovoid (egg shape) the ellipse would have to be longer and narrower on one side to make the narrower end of the egg. You could probably design your own templates. See if these websites help clarify what I mean.

Thanks for all the help ladies. Now I have another question for you :)

I have made flowers with the hexizons and I want to do applique with them not make a quilt. How will I do that? I know someone can help me here. Thanks so much for the help in advance. Hope you all have a wounderful weekend.
