What an interesting site! And I did see the dress. Now that would take a whale of a lot of selvedges! Beautiful.

I never thought to save selvage edges....that would expand the scrap bin too! I am amazed at what can be done with them! Thanks for posting that link!

I have a sewing stool (chair) that need recovered
what a great idea and I love the lamp!
I have a large glass pickle jar 1 gallon size that I have filled with empty wood thread spools, So my hubby could get a lamp kit and make a lamp for my sewing table,
selvage lampshade would just be the greatest!

ok, I love all these ideas, but have a quick question. How wide to you cut the selveges? I see that there is still some of the fabric above the selvage andwas wondering what a good width would be.
