I have the 7500 and still sew with it, occasionally. Still enjoy this machine from the 1980s.

I have my Bernina 1530 and it is still going strong with no problems. Keeping my fingers crossed that it outlives me.

I still have my 8000. Occasionally I embroider with it. When my husband heard that the darkening screen would eventually go dark and could not be fixed, he bought me the Janome 8900. Love, love, love my 8900!

My two best friends both have this machine I had one but sold it to up grade to Bernina , I know you can not get the screens here in Australia anymore as my son is a sewing machine Technician and has tried everywhere to get the screen with no luck at all . I did love the satin stitch on my 8000 it was so smooth.

I still have mine, but it's been in a cupboard since Dec 2014 when I got my Juki, and my Husqvarna embroidery machine. My MC800O was bought by my dad for me in 1993, ran a wedding dress business using it, made hundreds of clothes, curtains etc on it. I loved my machine, but poor wee thing was getting to the end of its life.

The New Home 8000 was my first embroidery machine and just loved it....and I belonged to a group of ladies that also had this machine. As the wear and tear happened on these machines, we all purchased another type of embroidery machine...mine was replaced with a BabyLock Ellageo and just loved it. Many had screens that darkened and as technology happens many of the newer machines had features that were a huge improvement. Love my BabyLocks
