Micropore tape is an anti-acid tape. I paint and use that all of the time to keep acid out of my paintings. Other tapes can , if you leave it on your fabric or important papers, ruin them. Or eat the paper up. Surgeons use it to keep cuts or sores from getting acid on them.

When I was hand quilting, I would sometimes use the micropore tape on my underneath finger for protection. However, I never needed 4 rolls!

Thank you, Barny, for this information. It is so helpful and I will use it for those purposes. Finally, a reason to have 4 rolls. Yolanda

    Me, too, alas.

I'm pretty sure I saw the information about using Micropore tape in a Bonnie Hunter Quilt Cam video or maybe The Midnight Quilter, Angela Walters. More likely her because I haven't seen Bonnie do a lot of cutting in a video other than trimming with scissors at her machine. I suppose it was for rulers, but can't be sure. Another possibility is that it was an embroidery video (Maybe from Kreative Kiwi). In that case it was probably used to help make the hoops grip well. I have it on my shopping list but haven't bought it yet because I couldn't remember why I wanted it.
