She is probably getting to the age of carrying a purse. What about a purse or a tote of some kind? Bow tuck or Mondo bag comes to mind. I can't keep them in the house when I make them, my daughter grabs onto them. There are a lot of purse patterns out there that are "youthful".

Working at a middle school- it seems those girls are getting into make-up. Why not a make-up bag and an overnight bag- so when she is in high school she can take it when she goes places.

I did not know that people gave gifts for middle school graduation.
