    What about this layout instead?

    I really like the second layout. I’d look for more fabric to finish the top row. This is a great layout & will make a wonderful quilt!

    I really like the zig zag you get in the top two pale rows in the second layout. I also think it could look cool to have a "mountain reflected in the lake" type of vibe by shifting every second row in your first layout left or right by one block. Does that make sense?

    Whatever you go for here, it's very dramatic and modern.

    I really like the first design although I am not opposed to the second. I was wondering can't you just buy some more fabric to make it the size your looking for? The fabric is beautiful!

    On your second layout - you have two "patterns" going -

    the top four rows create a zigzag effect -

    the bottom three rows create a "diamond" effect -
