I clothes sewed for years and years....now into quilts....was asked to make grandkids halloween costumes, understand why I don't like making clothes any more, collars, and bands and buttonholes and darts and a 5/8" seam is huge....will be glad when I can return back to my quilts....

How are you going to get the mothball odor out? I've never been able to do that...

was the thrift shop in the Gettysburg area? Can you tell us where it is? My sister and I go to a number of thrift stores in the Chambersburg area and only 1 time did I see fabric!

Good question! I just washed it and threw them into the dryer. Have not been down to see how that turned out.

Not even close. It was on the WV/Va border.

Good question! I just washed it and threw them into the dryer. Have not been down to see how that turned out.
interested in knowing if just washing gets the smell out....
or perhaps in the sunshine for several hours....

I had inadvertently doubled up on the fabric softener sheets. I could not smell any residual smells.
