My DH is sceptical about the scissor sharpening. My son has done the cheese toastie thing, made me laugh loads when he showed me.

I have used it for scissors. Not my quilting ones, and it seemed to work great!

My mother showed me how to make grilled cheese sandwiches with a iron many (many) years ago so I could make a quick meal my college dorm room. Unlike kids dorm rooms today we didn't have microwaves and refrigerators.

I love the idea of replacing dryer sheets. I will definitely give that a try.

I have used it when my rotary blade needs a new edge when trying to finish a project, it really works, just make sure you are on your cutting mat when running it through the foil. I fold the foil approx. in 4ths and just run it thru until the foil is all sliced.

I have used the foil thingy on my old pinking shears. Works on them too! Love the idea.
