I just finished the Morningstar Quilt in red and yellow...the pattern is free at P and B textiles. If you can't find it..I have it and can email it to you.
    Peace and Blessings

Good luck with finding what you want...thought I had it, but see from an earlier post it isn't what you're looking for

Thanks to all of you for your help. I will try and post a picture of the picture of the block. Well for some reason I can't get the picture to post. But thanks any for all your help. If I can't find the pattern I will try and make one myself, never have done that before but I will try if I can't find the pattern.

There are several sites with galleries of Native American Morning Star quilts that you could look through for a match. Try this one http://www.nativeamericanstarquilts....troduction.htm

Here are 2 that seem to fit your description. Is it either one of these?

Hi Beverely, Yes pattern #1 is the one that I am looking for. Where did you find it? I have looked all over the internet trying to find it and haven't been able to. Thanks when you can let me know where you found it please.

It's in Barbara Brackman's book, Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Blocks. It also goes by the names: Dutch Rose, Eccentric Star, Octagonal Star, Orphan Star, Star and Diamond, Triple Star, & Unknown Star. I think I have seen it as Dutch Rose somewhere. It is the same as Carpenter's Wheel/Carpenter's Star but with one color instead. Here's the easy version of Carpenter's Wheel: http://www.quilterscache.com/C/Carpe...heelBlock.html
