What is Bosall? I searched and can't find any information about it.

I use a batting with some natural fibers so it will absorb the occaisional drips.

Joanns sells it but I bought mug rug sizes on line @Walmart. You can also get placemats in a couple of sizes. Bosal Craft-Tex is 100% polyester machine washable and drycleanable. It's a double sided fusible interfacing. Try Amazon etc.

I use a fleece, one or two layers depending on how thick it is. I like that it is flat and not puffy like batting.

I use regular batting that is left when square up larger quilts.

Have any of you used rubberized sheeting as a batting for mug rugs? I'm not sure how thick it is. I received the cutest mug rug for Christmas and love that it is not thick but I don't think it is made with rubberized sheeting.

Thank you for this piece of advice. I always have pieces of fleece left over from little fleece blankets I make for donation to a local hospital. Great idea.
