That's what I have on most often. We put the DVR in the sewing room, so if I heard something that I wanted to see, I just rewind a little. Love the pause button on the remote as DH likes to come yak with me every so often.

I don't normally listen to music while sewing, usually it's either HGTV, a game show or a favorite move that I've seen many times before, but music is a great idea. It would keep you away from looking at the TV and more focused on quilting. Hmm, something to think about. :D

I have the radio on right next to my machine. I enjoy the 70's, 80's and 90's rock they play although my music is rock in the 50's. I do have to be careful because when a toe-tapping song comes on I tend to "tap" along on my pedal. Or if it's an especially lively tune I tend to speed up my stitching with not so great results.

You will really enjoy quilting even more, honestly! Machine work, cutting, sewing, ironing, embroidering, you name it. Me and my books and my quilts. Edie

My DH got me a system for Christmas that connects to the Internet and I can vary the music from day to day without listening to commercials! Yay! It is called a squeezebox and it's great!

I like to listen to the Singing Quilter. Check out her website. She's a hoot! She has one of her numbers on Youtube, also, so you can actually hear her sing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0QjV8K4vQM

I absolutely do.... It just depends on my mood. I'd like to share w/you and all who read this - that there is a site called "Pandora." Type in: pandora.com and sign in - it is absolutely 100% FREE to listen as long as you'd like! Once you register - click on: "Create a new station" and type in an artist, a song, or even a type of music you want to hear, for example, Salsa, easy listening, contemporary, etc. and it will play all the songs in that category. The station plays for quite a long time and when you no longer hear the music, go to your computer and it will ask if you are still listening? Click "yes" and it will continue. You can create as many stations as you would like. Enjoy. Let me know if you have any problems. Marta
