    Default Must have template/s

Is there a must have templete/s that every quilter new or old should have? Sometimes I buy templates on impulse and when I get them I may use them once or not at all.

My must-have is any new one that comes on the market! Then I can't remember why I actually bought the dang thing! Definitely an impulse shopper!

I have mine made at the local glass shop. They use plexiglass and are laser-cut. They charge very little and this way I can have all the templates I want.

If it isn't for a specific project that I am getting ready to do right now, then it isn't that much of a must have. Of course, I have bought used at estate sales and quilt group silent auctions.

I am also fortunate to have a very good plastics company that will cut whatever I want in acryllic for less that any store bought template.

I am a template collector also- so for me I buy them if they are on sale/clearance/ cheap and look like something I might use in the future

The size square you'll use most often (mine is a 12" because I send in blocks for charity this size) and a long one for strips. Everything else is just for convenience....and I find I rarely use them.
