I have an old Pfaff 1196 and adore it! I paid 250 for it. Other than not having a walking foot or one that will fit it it's a wonderful machine! Enjoy!

I have had my Pfaff #79 for nearly 40 years. Fallen down the steps with me, moved to college with me, back home, got married and moved 8 times with me. It is one of the older ones with steel parts, not plastic. It's still going strong.

Congrats on your great buy!

I have a 1222SE, also. It has a beautiful stitch. It is the easiest machine to thread and wind a bobbin I have every used. You use the presser bar lifter to bring up the bobbin thread, wind the bobbin and remove the fabric. You will love it.
