My Craiglist find
#51
"Lizzie" (named after my maternal gma who taught me to sew) was born in Elizabeth, NJ in 1926. The book they gave me says she's a 128-3. I haven't had time to play with her yet, but when I test drove her at their place last night I could tell the tension needs adjusting and she really needs a new needle. She was really thudding loud when it went through the fabric. They took her to their house in Florida, but they sold it, so they no longer need the extra machine. The guy said when their daughter sewed on it she only knew 2 speeds. Wide open and stop. lol I probably won't get a chance to do much with her till next week, as Sunday is my dgd's graduation open house and I still have to finish her quilt for that.
