My dear Bernina - INJURED!!

No accident but my 931 was giving me problems so took it to have it looked at and too costly to have repaired. Also took the 1630 and that was just cleaned and oiled. My hubby watched as others checking out new machines and before I knew it I was there with them and he bought me the Bernina Artista 635. I know I should or could do with out it but he insisted. So, here I am and will be going to classes this time to learn how to us it correctly and get all the ins and outs of it. So, glad hubby did what he did but I said I don't need that for the cost at this time of our lives but he insisted. So, anyone with good ideas on what you have done in the past with this machine, I am open for reading your responses.

I have 2 Baby Lock machines. The nearest dealer is 250 miles away. So was taking them with me while visiting my mom and was going to have them serviced. I rolled my car on a mountain road. One machine was on the floor tightly between the driver's seat and the back seat. It moved about 3 inches. The other was in the trunk of the car. Neither had any major damage. The bobbin threader needed adjusting on one. The only damage to me was dislocated ribs. The car was totaled.

I did check on my homeowners insurance for this type of accident. No coverage! However if the house burns, then it would be covered. I need to take pics of everything in the house, LOL, just in case. There was a house across the street and it DID burn. Lot's of damage, and took a long time to re-build (same lot)- The owners were able to have many upgrades and the house turned out beautiful! Soooo.... I am just grateful my repair on the Artista is only $170 INSTEAD of having to be used for parts!

This week I spilled a glass of water on my Singer Futura. It seems that though it was sericed, it will probably not live much longer as water was still coming out of it after he dried it out overnite. It has a smell as well. He has offered me a great deal on a Brother, but am trying to be sure that is the way I want to go. My LQS instructor loves her Bernina as well. I think I will check out their prices as well.
