I haven't started mine either but will be brave and attempt it tomorrow....maybe we all need to take a pic with our bikini tops, then photo shop them together into a group shot...LOL You are all too funny!

ROTFLOL....hiccuping, gulped too much air when I was rolling around laughing so hard.....thanks for the laughs. Sorry to hear you got so stressed. However now you have your new top all planned for the 4th.

going to start work on my new bikini top tomorrrow. can anyone tell me what size cup it actually becomes once it puckers in the middle? lol

Isn't this where , someone should say, "she(candlequilter) could've quilted that out"? LOL!! everytime I think of that song that was on here, I laugh! the bikini IS TOO FUNNY!

I worked for 3 days on mine, made several and the one I sent still looks like a non sewer made it. I had committed to making one so I sent it anyway but not sure she will be able to use it.

Being a scrap quilter, crazy quilter, and paper piecer, I found out long ago that steam and starch are your best friends AFTER a block is finished. Result is a flat block that you can square up nicely.

OK so I am thinking about how one can "cover up" the nether regions given the star theme on the top... :oops: :oops: My suggestion is - when in doubt "applique" it seems to solve most problems... :thumbup:

You guys are too hilarious!! If I made the bikini top, the blocks would have to be about 18" each!! As for the bottoms...better not go there, there's a shortage of cotton and I wouldn't want to deplete the world supply :-)
