I love that picture. I'm sure he deserves that first quilt.

I made two for my pups...even appliqued their likenesses on them. At the time we had a silver schnauzer and a black schnauzer. They loved them. We now have a black and silver schnauzer and she likes them as well. They are small ones, but they work for bed covers or footstool covers.
Good for you and good for your pup!

My cat claimed my first quilt. It was a 4th of July Mystery quilt. Just his size. And now that I've moved across the country, I wonder where that little quiltie is. . . . .I'm going to look in my pile of crocheted afghans. Could be there.

I had three quilts that I made in the beginning. They were really no longer usable as quilts but still had a lot of wear in them. I cut them up, serged all the raw edges and made puppy pads for our local rescue shelter. They were SOOOOOO happy to get them. I figured if my puppies love my quilts, so will they.
