    He won't put it in a garage sale for 2.00, he won't put it in a drawer never to be seen again, he will never donate it to goodwill,and best of all he will roll around and get it comfy,and love every minute of it, what else could a quilt ask for, just to used and loved

    That's sweet, but I hope he still wants the quilt after you are finished and give it to him.
    I say this because my DD's cat would snuggle between her and the quilt she was handquilting only to leave it totally alone when she bound it. Did it with every one of them.
    I think that once she could give him her whole attention he would go back to himself, but he didn't like the competition of the handquilting.
