Default My first question!

Hi everyone, I'm very new here, and very new to quilting. I'm going to make a color wheel with fabric, part of my attempt to learn to understand more about color. I have my solids ready to go, but I could use suggestions about how best to attach them to a board (I figure I'll use a foam core board). Is there a glue that will hold them on but not pucker? Thanks for your help!

Sarah

I'm thinking a spray on glue would work well for this.

That sounds perfect! Is it something I can get at a fabric store?

Yes, I'm pretty sure they have it, especially if it has a craft section. Be careful when spraying not to breathe it in, and don't spray near your machine

Mostly at The City Quilter and Fiber Notion her in Brooklyn. I've been ordering some online too. What about you?

You could probably use a glue stick. I use them regularly to glue fabric.

if you use something other than foam core, you could use underwonder or some such iron on fusible.

I kind of want it on something stiff so I can put it up on the wall.

You're in NYC? I'd love to know more about the quilting "scene" here. Do you have stores you recommend beyond City Quilter?
