He offered to wash the quilts, but it would have meant he missed a day of work to stay home to do laundry. (He washes all his own laundry, and has done so for a couple of years.) By the way, every one of the young men called to thank us for allowing them to stay at our house. They even thanked me for the use of the quilts. Several even asked if I would make a quilt for them!
