I love it. I am wanting to do some spider webs on a quilt, you have provided the inspiration I need!

Adorable! Great job and very creative! I love the quilted spider webs! Was this a pattern? How did you attach the applique, machine stitch? Satin, blanket? I can't tell from the picture. Love everthing about it!

Thanks so much. Many of you have asked about the spider web pattern, so I'll tell you my secret. I purchased a foam spider web at the Dollar Tree Shop for $1 (cheap template). Then I took an xtro knife and cut slits by the lines in the web, laid it on my quilt and marked thru the slits with a frixon pen. I stitched on the lines and ironed the lines away. So I cheated!

My patterns for the cats, crows and rat also came from the Dollar Tree. I think they are black cutouts to put in your windows during Halloween, but they were great patterns made from card stock. The world is full of templates!

All the applique is done with a blanket stitch. I'm really hooked on appliqueing. You want something on your quilt, you cut it out and poof it is on your quilt. Love it!
