Myself, I would just quilt it and bind it with red. The quilt as is is beautiful and you have done a great job with the Hunter's Star. I'm working on one that is similar and is also quite a busy pattern...I have decided "no border" for mine.

It's beautiful. As is, the piecing is busy and makes the quilt "expand" beyond it's edges. If you put borders on, it won't. Why not just do another row or column of blocks if you want it bigger? I don't see any reason to border this quilt.

That is one sharp looking lapper. Personally, I like the white inner border and the red outer, larger border.......what's going on the back?

I used Deb Tucker's rapid fire Hunter Star ruler. We did it in a class.
