I'm making 6 Civil War reproduction quilts. You know I HAVE to see a photo of your quilt. Please, please, please post a photo of your awful looking quilt with the flying geese you hated doing, but the LA'r thought was fabulous and couldn't say enough good things, going on and on and on how well you made this quilt. :~)

Honey just take the quilt, smile and say thanks. I am sure it is lovely. I recently showed some of my friends a quilt I made (I am still new) and proceeded to tell them all the goofs. They all just said....."If you hadn't said anything we would never had noticed. It's pretty." Obviously I do not hang out with the quilt police. LOL...

it sounds to me that you are being too hard on yourself.. If a professional quilter says it is good it must be good cant wait to see the pix...

Ok, I hate to see you suffer so... ship the quilt to me? The relief you'll feel will be soooo worth it! (evil grin)

I LOVE civil war fabrics! In fact, I would guess that about 70% of the quilts I've made are from civil war reproduction fabrics. Here are a couple of mine. Now show us yours.... pretty please!

Calmarek, those are beautiful and I absolutely love the fabrics. Do you recall the fabric maker, and did you get them from your local quilt shop or online?

Come on Jeanne. Please show us your quilt.

Your quilt must have been pretty or the LA wouldn't have made such a big deal of it. As a LA quilter myself I know she also appreciated the time and effort you put into preparing it by ironing and clipping the threads. It's always a pleasure to quilt on a top that is properly prepared. Can't wait to see pics, although I must admit I myself haven't taken the time to learn to do it on the board yet.

Jeanne, I just saw your quilt in the Pictures Forum. Looks great to me. Positive reinforcement is a good thing.
