I keep seeing all the posts from people who have gotton super deals at garage sales, thrift shops and estate sales. It is harder to find those deals here as our part of the country seemed to be one that got on the revival of quilting bandwagon early and it is growing stronger here.
BUT.....today I went to a garage sale where quality quilters flannels and home spuns were all you could fit in a bag for $1. I got four bags and patterns (quilt) were 4/$1. I got twenty of them. And there were other quilty things, prices like they were giving the stuff away. I got a couple of things for my sons and still only spent $15.
I must stay home now and finish up a couple of quilt projects that need to be in the mail Monday.

Woo-hoo great find!! I always get jealous of the deals other people find, we have tons of garage sales etc.. around here, but it's hit or miss on the quilting stuff. I was lucky enough to find a huge box of solids for $2.00 once though, that was great!! Oh and a half bolt black fabric for $5, that was a steal and got used A LOT LOL
Cheers!!

I guess I am just too lazy to strike out in search of them, if I see one I might stop if I don't have my DH with me. He has no patience with them. I do love a bargain and sounds like you got one! Cheers for you :)
