New Old Stock (NOS) needles for the 206 needle system can be pretty expensive when you find them.

Modern repros are made in sizes 12 and 14 sharps and Jenny at sew-classic.com carries them at about the best price around.

I think it's a normal low shank attachment and it takes the same flat cams as many later Singer models, (the Stylist was one line, if I remember correctly) so if you look on eBay for cam and attachment sets, you can pick them up for a song. You don't want the sets that went with the 400-700 series Slant-O-Matic or Touch & Sew's - those will be slant shank and "top hat" style cams. You want the flat cams. :)

I bought a bunch of different ones to go with my 316G - it's similar to your 306, but mine is de-electrified to run in a treadle. :)

Hope you have fun with it!
