I sew my binding on by machine.
I piece left over batting to make a a larger bat.
I stay up way too late inorder to sew.
I am a compulsive quilter.
I have stopped washing fabric if it is straight off the bolt.
I mix washed and unwashed fabric in my quilts.

My laundry, my bathroom, my sink full of dishes, heck all of my household chores DO NOT GET DONE. I really need to stop putting off the bathroom though.

I love using Polydown batting as it quilts, washes and wears well. The cotton only batting people in my guild would shudder I'm sure but it works for me and the quilts I make. I use Polyester thread and sheets on the backs of most of my quilts. I don't pre-wash my fabric and have never suffered a running dye nightmare. I always machine stitch my binding and even machine stitched my vintage Dresdan plate quilt.

I love all of these! I have done most of them myself.

If its a rule, I've broken it.
And I love every quilt I see.
I would never put a quilt in competition.
My college history project was a quilt. Got an A!
I'm a slut when it comes to 100% cotton fabric. If I like it, I take it home.

OK, this is the worst one of all...
I have been known to press a quilt in progress FROM THE TOP and not care how it looks on the underside.
Oh the shame!

Anna, can you tell me how you piece batting? Do you overlap it or butt it? do you straight stitch or zig zag? i have thrown away alot of small batting pieces (strips of 12" x 80") many times..

Now I know why we love this board, we could go to confession without going to church. We all have the same sins. I love fabrics, I think of fabrics and quilts even I am in church. First think that comes to mind when I wake up it is... You guess it: "Fabrics" I buy fabric with no project in mind. Just because I like it. Ideas will come later.
Are we absolved from our sins? Yes, we are.
