    Very inspiring!
So many people think that they have to buy a high end machine to do quilting on a frame and that is just not so. Most of us can get away with something like that.
    Your quilting is fabulous too!

Thank you for sharing your set up. I purchased a Grace 10' frame and am planning to set up my vintage Singer 301A to do the quilting. :-D Now I know who to ask questions of when I get my set-up going! Thank you again, your post really encourages me to get going and not put it off. :-D

Nice setup! Can the frame be setup for a shorter quilt ...5 or 6 feet?

Not done from the back. The shelf is over the frame...see the first photo. All done from the front.

Yes, it can be set up as 5'. I make mostly bed quilts, so I needed a 10'. 12' wouldn't fit in my space, and I also cannot get around behind it. This setup worked out perfectly!

I usually use Superior thread, but sometimes others if I need a specific color. My machine is not really picky about thread, luckily!

Janice - I just found this post. So neat to see the set-up you have! Can just picture my quilts on there. Thanks again for helping me out.
